When is the best time to travel to Hacienda Caribe Tesoro? That all depends upon what you are wanting. But let’s dig into the answers we have for you.

September to December-

Typically of north America, families like to travel during the summers so they can take their kids. But if you are older, a couple, or traveling with friends, September through December is a great time for two reasons.

September typically brings great weather to Roatan. It is warmer than most times of year. And without the family traffic, rates tend to drop a little bit. For Roatan, the water stays warm so diving, snorkeling, and kayaking… all things we can arrange for you, are fantastic.

October after the Morazon National Holiday, sees a drop in travel within the country… and with that a great opportunity as we lower our rate to the best times of the year. So if you are looking for a bargain, you will typically find our rates (direct rates) the best of the calendar year. There are no changes in water temperature and that makes getting wet a lot of fun… plus with the lower volume from cruise ships West Bay is quiet during the daytime hours meaning long walks and short wait times at our restaurant and others. November is the same though depending upon the weather, you might get a daytime shower now and then… We welcome the rain as it cools down the island.

December is a great time to get away and overlooked by many travelers, but if you are on a budget, you are likely to find our very lowest rates. REMEMBER that if you book with us directly, you will get a rate that isn’t published and stays of three days or longer mean even better opportunities. These rates end around one week before Christmas.

WINTER

There really are only two seasons in the Caribbean… one is summer (verano) and the other is winter (invierno). Travel patterns from North America pick up and if you want the best rates for these times… we suggest booking 3 months in advance as you will find more options. Winter is fun here as there are many opportunities to make friends with people from all around the world.

January (after the new year holiday) is an awesome time to stay. There is always a bit of a drop so availability is great from January 4th through January 30th.

Hacienda Caribe Tesoro is the perfect option because during this time you will have privacy that other hotels can’t offer on West Bay Beach because they are selling day passes to the Cruise ships and that “quiet” getaway, is now over run by guests… We don’t have this issue at HCT because we don’t do it.

February through Semana Santa

February is for lovers and we make the Hacienda Romantic with all kinds of ideas for couples. If you are celebrating an anniversary, a private escape, or looking to reconnect, we are perfect… Our saltwater pool, daily breakfast and on site restaurant are perfect for your escape… After Valentine’s Day, Roatan really picks up with snowbirds escaping the cold of the North American continent. Book early… look for specials… And if you are wanting to come to Roatan to celebrate Holy Week, remember that is a giant festival in Central America and is bigger than Christmas as a holiday… it’s really important to book early..

May

May is another time of year to travel if you are being price conscious. There is a slight fall in demand and we can offer great rates for the month of May when you book with us direct… Even better… book in advance…

June, July and August

These months are always great to travel.. .It’s some of the mildest weather on Roatan, Cruise Ship travel is slower, and we have avails for you if you are booking in advance. You will find great rates for these months in the heart of the summer and some of the best weather.
